Data Import
The Data Import AccPack is our standard solution for importing product data from Excel or CSV files into PublishingHubDB or MuaDB. It supports both simple one-time imports and automated processes with custom formats, data transformation, and multilingual content.
The same plugin works for both databases and supports two trigger methods. Users can upload files through the AdminUI or priint:planner for manual imports, or use a scheduled timer that scans a hotfolder. In both cases, an XML mapping file defines how source columns map to entity fields, so the plugin can be reused across projects and file formats.
The package includes a default setup based on the Generic Import Profile, a standard Excel structure for buckets, key values, and media assets. Custom formats can use their own mapping.
